It’s been almost a year since my last blog post, and I’ve missed it! I’ve thought about it multiple times in the last 12 months and how I need to get back to my regular updates.

This time last year I was dealing with CL’s new feline lymphoma diagnosis and not wanting to leave him for weekend getaways. I was searching for my first house. I was painting, cleaning, moving, and organizing said house. Then I signed up for an Ironman 70.3 and started training swimming, cycling, and running like crazy. My adventures became few and far between because of life. It happens to all of us!

I did go on several amazing hikes last summer and fall. I’m not sure how many I’ll end up writing about, but I’ll definitely post about my favorite – hiking up and over the Sierra, from west to east. Give me a week or two, and I’ll get it written. It involves a bear that I named Swiss Cake Roll. I hope that entices you to read it.
