I moved away from Georgia after my senior year in high school, and I’ve had limited opportunities to visit my hometown ever since.

Greece, Day 6 & 7: Athens and Nafplion
We visited the Acopolis on our first day in Athens before flying to Santorini, but we hadn’t really seen anything else in the city. Day 6 was the day to be a straight-up tourist in Athens.
Greece, days 4 & 5: Pyrgos, Red Beach, Thera, Perissa
I’m lumping a couple of days together to cut down on the separate posts. I have a busy couple of weeks ahead and I’m three weeks behind on my blog! 😮
I had a lot planned for the third day on Santorini. Wine tasting, exploring a city, two beaches, ruins, and the lighthouse. It was a lot of traveling around the southwestern part of the island, and we’d need to rent a vehicle. Continue reading
Greece, day 3: Oia
All of Santorini was great, but the second day on the island was my absolute favorite.
I had a hike to Oia planned, cliff jumping, and the viewing of what is supposedly the world’s best sunset. Continue reading
Greece, day 2: Kamari & Firostefani, Santorini
After the long trip from California to Greece, you’d think my body would welcome every opportunity to sleep. No such luck. Continue reading

Travels with CL
2 years. I can’t believe how quickly 2 years have flown by.
2 years ago, I was on the road with my cat, CL. We were driving across the country from Michigan to my new home in California.
Well, I did all of the driving. CL tried at one point when we were stopped at a gas station. Continue reading
Half Dome, full adventure
What are the iconic Yosemite formations? I think for anyone familiar with the park, the images that first come to mind are El Capitan and Half Dome.
Always, always have a headlamp
I LOVE Yosemite. In the two years that I’ve been a California resident, I’ve visited this phenomenal park probably two dozen times. I’ve done almost every Valley hike, and I’m making progress on covering the high country trails off Tioga Pass. It’s an addiction, and I want to hike every mile of the park.
