It’s catch-up time again with the blog. I have a busy couple of weeks ahead, and I once again have several posts that have been sitting in drafts for months that I just never got around to publishing. I’ll probably send out a few this week that are from February trips. This one today is from January…oops. 🙂
I never thought I’d say this, but never say never. I’ve missed the snow. I should rephrase that. I’ve missed “optional” snow.
I hate the cold. It’s uncomfortable, and I go numb easily. I hate driving in the snow. It takes too long to get anywhere, and I can be impatient. Living right up against the Sierra means I get the Central Valley heat that I love, but I also have access to snow when I want it.

I’m back! I took a break from the blog after a busy fall and early winter. I’ve had several blog posts in my drafts for a couple of months, but the timing to share them never seemed right.
November ended up being a rough month in my personal life, I was unable to adventure as much, and I took a step back from sharing everything.
Since my last post, I hiked Half Dome for the third time, and went on numerous climbing trips. I think re-capping every single climbing trip would be boring for most readers – not much happens except hours and hours of climbing. ☺ Continue reading
In every place I’ve lived, I’ve tried to stay involved with climbing. It was harder in some places than in others, but I’m proud to say that I have several wonderful climbing crews across the country.
Growing up back East, I’m used to fabulous falls. From Georgia, to North Carolina, to Michigan, I’ve lived in a few states with spectacular autumn foliage.
I moved away from Georgia after my senior year in high school, and I’ve had limited opportunities to visit my hometown ever since.
We visited the Acopolis on our first day in Athens before flying to Santorini, but we hadn’t really seen anything else in the city. Day 6 was the day to be a straight-up tourist in Athens.
I’m lumping a couple of days together to cut down on the separate posts. I have a busy couple of weeks ahead and I’m three weeks behind on my blog! 😮
I had a lot planned for the third day on Santorini. Wine tasting, exploring a city, two beaches, ruins, and the lighthouse. It was a lot of traveling around the southwestern part of the island, and we’d need to rent a vehicle. Continue reading
All of Santorini was great, but the second day on the island was my absolute favorite.
