Since 2010, I’ve been caking makeup on my face, curling my hair, and analyzing model data to bring viewers the weather forecast. Almost 6 of those years were spent waking up at 2 AM for morning news. I recently made the switch to evening news as the Chief Meteorologist for the CBS affiliate in Fresno, CA. I’m also one of only two meteorologists in the market certified by the American Meteorological Society.
Before moving to California, I spent almost 5 years in Michigan living in every type of weather imaginable. From blizzards, to heat, floods, to tornadoes, I’ve forecast for and covered it all. My BS in Meteorology is from North Carolina State University.
In my free time, I am either in the mountains or at the coast. I’ve covered hundreds of miles of hiking trails in my backyard…the Sierra Nevada. If I’m not hiking, I’m rock climbing. If I’m not climbing, I’m running. Or cycling. Or handstanding. Or triathlon-ing. Or flute-ing. I love being active!
I have a big Maine coon-ish cat named CL, who was diagnosed with feline lymphoma at the end of 2017. CL has been responding well so far with his treatment! I’m also occasionally a kitten foster mom when CL allows it.
